Pause stops requesting updates; the session stays resumable. A checkpoint restores the complete session. Evidence holds the request, configurations and measurements, and is re-analysed in Rust on import; it does not resume.
These controls re-analyse the accumulated measurement in Rust. They never advance or restart the gas.
